Handcrafted by JnK
Walnut Drop Coaster Set
Walnut holder + leather coasters, 4 pcs set
.
Design,

A solid piece of walnut is shaped into a soft droplet form and finished by hand with oil.
Inside the walnut holder, we placed removable vegetable-tanned leather coasters with a substantial thickness.

The leather coasters can be selected according to your preferred color and texture,
allowing for a variety of expressions to suit the mood of your space or the purpose of use.
Composition,
A total of 4 leather coasters are included with the walnut holder.
The wood processing has been refined together with a specialized partner,
and the edge finish has been kept simple, considering that coasters are frequently exposed to moisture.
As a result, we were able to preserve the material sensibility and handcrafted mood of Arte di mano,
while offering the piece at a more reasonable price than our previous production method.

As a rule, all Arte di mano pieces are finished with our logo.
However, for the walnut series, the Arte di mano brand mark is engraved on the back,
so if you add the initial service, the front can be engraved freely in the form you prefer.
It is suitable not only as a simple gift, but also for brands, cafés, companies, events, return gifts, and many other spaces and occasions.
We have in fact collaborated with various brands and events.

For orders of 10 pieces or more, quantity-based discounts are available,
and production inquiries can be made through the board or by email at info@artedimano.com.

Rally
(Vegatable tanned, Italy - AUSONIA, Walpier)
Finish - Matt type, milling, parafiin / Softness - ★★☆☆☆
Extra cost : None
Produced by Ausonia, one of Italy’s two major tanneries, this oil pull-up leather contains a rich amount of oil and is dyed by layering two colors in sequence. The natural two-tone color change that appears when the leather bends is especially attractive. Together with the natural grain created by milling and its vintage tone, the generous paraffin on the surface gradually spreads into a subtle sheen with use, making the leather even more appealing over time. Its surface dyeing is very distinctive, and we recommend it to those who enjoy natural yet vintage leather goods. Rally volpe is also one of Arte di mano’s best-selling colors.
.

Minerva Box
(Vegatable tanned, Italy - BADALASSI CARLO)
Finish - Matt type, milling / Softness - ★★★★★
Extra cost : None
Minerva Box by BADALASSI CARLO is a full vegetable-tanned leather made from hides of cattle raised in the Alpine region. The Minerva leather is hand-tanned and dyed using the Vachetta method, a traditional technique with more than ten centuries of history, and is then milled in a drum to create a natural grain pattern on the surface.
Unlike its initially matte appearance, a natural sheen gradually develops with use, giving it the depth and character worthy of a premium leather. The uniquely soft touch created by Minerva Box’s rich oil content is also exceptional. Among soft-type leathers, it has one of the softest feels.
.

Dollaro
(Vegatable tanned, Italy - Walpier)
Finish - Natural glossy type, Embossed(Shrunken pattern), Hand brushed two tone dye / Hardness - ★★★★☆
Extra cost : None
This is a new article developed by Walpier, the renowned Italian tannery best known for Buttero. Based on Buttero’s hide-processing and dyeing techniques, the surface is embossed with a natural pattern and then hand-dyed one by one, creating a two-tone effect in which the raised areas become darker. The result is a leather with a natural gloss and a strong impression.
Vegetable-tanned leather naturally records traces of use over time, but Dollaro has a much firmer surface than typical vegetable-tanned leather. As a result, it is vegetable-tanned leather while also being highly resistant to scratches.
.

Buttero
(Vegatable tanned, Italy - Walpier)
Finish - Matt type, Oil, Hard type / Hardness - ★★★★☆
Extra cost : None
Buttero is a representative article produced by Walpier, a tannery that has been run as a family business for three generations and is known for producing some of Italy’s finest leather. It is vegetable-tanned using top-grade French hides, with a remarkably smooth surface and an unusually rich oil content that gives it a moist touch despite being vegetable-tanned. Although the surface is smooth, it does not feel artificial; instead, it preserves the natural touch unique to leather. Its distinctive Buttero color expression gives it a rich, deep tone that clearly sets it apart from other vegetable-tanned leathers. Like other oil-rich leathers, it is relatively vulnerable to scratches, but as those scratches accumulate over time, the traces of age are expressed more beautifully than in almost any other leather. It is especially loved in Japan.
.

Buttero box
(Vegatable tanned, Italy - Walpier)
Finish - Matt type, Oil, Milling / Softness - ★★★☆☆
Extra cost : None
This leather is based on Buttero, a representative article from Walpier, a tannery that has been run as a family business for three generations and produces some of Italy’s finest leather. By milling the Buttero base, the leather gains a natural grain pattern and softness. The full hide, before thickness adjustment, is the same 2.8–3.0 mm as Buttero, making it thicker than Minerva Box; even at the same thickness, it has stronger tensile strength. Compared to Minerva Box in the same color, its color depth feels slightly heavier. In particular, because the additional thickness gives a strap a more solid feel, we recommend this leather when making a single-layer strap.
.

Labrador
(Vegatable tanned, Italy - Rocado s.r.l)
Finish - Natural glossy type, Hand brushed dye / Hardness - ★★★☆☆
Extra cost : None
Labrador is a cowhide leather made by Rocado in Italy, a tannery known for Italian shell cordovan. Inspired by the feel of the coat of the large Labrador dog breed, it has a smooth, silky surface while carrying the deep color expression familiar from Italian shell cordovan. It is a surface-dyed type of leather.
.

Pueblo
(Vegatable tanned, Italy - BADALASSI CARLO)
Finish - Matt type, Art finish by steel ball / Hardness - ★★★☆☆
Extra cost : USD 10.00
Pueblo is an art-finish leather from BADALASSI CARLO, the same tannery that produces Minerva Box. Before the Minerva leather undergoes box milling, specially made steel balls are rolled across the surface to create fine intentional scratches, giving the leather its distinctive detail. In its hide state, it may even look like damaged leather, but once made into a finished piece, you can see a texture that goes beyond damage and becomes an artistic expression. Please be sure to refer to finished examples. It is a popular leather with growing demand worldwide, and we recommend it to those who enjoy a vintage feel.
.

Achab
(Vegatable tanned, Italy - BADALASSI CARLO)
Finish - Natural glossy, Art finish by hand blade / Softness - ★★★☆☆
Extra cost : USD 10.00
Achab is an art-finish leather from BADALASSI CARLO, the same tannery that produces Minerva Box. It is a distinctive leather made by taking milled Minerva Box leather and cutting irregular marks one by one with a hand blade. It is produced purely through intuitive craftsmanship, and even within the tannery, it is made by only one master crafter, giving it an exceptionally poetic character. The finished result is highly dramatic; compared with Pueblo from the same art-finish line, it has an even more intense appearance. It offers a beautiful texture as an artistic attempt, so please be sure to refer to finished examples. We recommend it to those who enjoy a bolder, vintage style.
.

Chromexcel
(Combination tanned, USA - Horween)
Finish - Matt type, Pull-up / Hardness - ★★☆☆☆
Extra cost : USD 20.00
Chromexcel is a representative cowhide leather from Horween in the United States, a tannery famous for cordovan. It is finished with the rugged surface character typical of American leather and a natural two-tone pull-up effect that appears in areas where the leather bends. Also well known as a shoe leather, it is worth experiencing if you enjoy the rough character of American leather or leather goods. You can experience a compelling leather piece created by combining rugged American leather with Arte di mano’s refined leather craftsmanship.
.

Novonappa
(Hybrid tanned, France - HAAS)
Finish - Matt type, Oil and waxy / Thickness - 2.0 ~ 2.2 mm / Softness - ★★★★★
Extra cost : USD 20.00
Novonappa, better known as ‘Barenia,’ is a hybrid-type leather in which the surface of chrome-tanned leather is finished in a vegetable-tanned manner. By area, it is lighter than vegetable-tanned leather like chrome leather, yet the surface texture feels almost like vegetable leather, allowing the surface to age naturally with use. Because it is thoroughly infused with wax and oil, the surface feels exceptionally soft and moist. This is a new kind of touch that can be found in hybrid leathers, different from vegetable-tanned leather, and we believe it will be quite satisfying for pieces that are frequently touched by hand. Like bridle leather, if it is not used often, the wax inside the leather may rise to the surface and form a white powder-like film. Once used again, the wax melts back into the leather and naturally restores the original surface texture.
It is an original leather from HAAS in France, a supplier to various luxury houses. It is used for pieces in tan or black with a vegetable-like feel for a French luxury brand often referred to as H. You can find more examples of finished pieces by searching for the keyword ‘Barenia’ on Google or other sites.
.
.

English Bridle
(Vegetable tanned, England - SEDGWICK)
Finish - Bridle finish / Hardness - ★★★★★
Extra cost : USD 20.00
Bridle leather is a premium leather designed to achieve the highest durability and strong tensile strength possible from cowhide, enough to be used for equestrian goods such as reins and saddles. It is completed through a hand process in which vegetable-tanned cowhide is infused and finished with tallow and oil for more than six weeks. In particular, the bridle leather used by Arte di mano is original English bridle leather produced by SEDGWICK in England, a tannery with more than 100 years of tradition. It is among the finest bridle leathers, even used for bags associated with the British royal family. When not in use or in low temperatures, a white powder-like tallow may appear on the surface, but with use, the leather gradually reveals its distinctive smooth and luxurious sheen.
This cowhide was developed with cordovan, the leather from a horse’s rump, in mind. Because the surface is very firm, it does not have the dense, chewy feel of cordovan, but the tallow infusion greatly increases the density of the fiber structure. Its visible gloss and color are attractive enough to evoke cordovan.
