Leather Inlay Walnut Tray
Leather Inlay Walnut Tray
M : approx. 22.5 x 14.3 cm / L : approx. 26 x 14.3 cm
.
A quiet place where leather and walnut meet.
The Leather Inlay Walnut Tray is a small object tray made on a solid walnut base,
finished with the texture of leather that Arte di mano has long worked with.
It is made for the everyday objects you reach for often, such as watches, rings, glasses, wallets, car keys, and pens,
so they can be placed down in a more refined and organized way.

.
Design,

A walnut base that preserves the warm grain of solid wood
is combined with leather in an inlay construction, allowing two different materials to meet naturally.
The leather softly receives the small impact when objects are placed on it,
while the walnut gives the tray its structure and calm presence.

.
Use,
On a desk, it is well suited for pens and small stationery,
at the entrance, for car keys and card wallets,
and by the bedside, for watches and accessories.
A tray is simply a tool for gathering small objects,
but it can also make the small repeated gestures of everyday life feel a little more pleasant.

.
Materials,
Walnut is a solid wood with a deep natural tone and calm grain.
Over time, the color and sheen of its surface gradually deepen,
and the leather also changes naturally according to the user’s touch and environment.
Rather than having a fully finished expression from the beginning,
it is an object that slowly finds its place within the user’s daily life.

.
Size,
M : approx. 22.5 x 14.3 cm
L : approx. 26 x 14.3 cm
The M size is suitable for organizing small desk items or accessories,
while the L size is ideal when you need a little more room for glasses, watches, wallets, and similar items.

.
Details,
The height and proportion of the two materials are carefully balanced
so that the boundary between leather and wood does not feel overly pronounced.
From the walnut grain and the expression of the leather to the thickness felt in the hand,
it carries the sense of materials that Arte di mano has long valued.

.
A tray for gifts and spaces,
The Leather Inlay Walnut Tray is suitable not only for personal use,
but also for brands, showrooms, cafés, offices, and gift arrangements.
Simply changing the way small objects are arranged
can be enough to change the atmosphere of a space.

* Due to the nature of solid wood and natural leather, each product may vary in color, grain, and surface expression.
* This is a made-to-order product. If stock is available, it can be shipped immediately, but in most cases the standard production period for small goods applies.
* If you need a quick purchase, please check available colors and stock through the board or by email at info@artedimano.com.

Personal initial stamping
Extra cost : Combination stamping - USD 10.00 / Basic stamping - USD 15.00 / Copper plate stamping - USD 70.00
* If you would like initials with higher legibility, we recommend combination stamping (USD 10.00) or copper plate stamping (USD 70.00).
For crocodile leather, due to the deep embossed texture of the leather, initials can only be applied by combination stamping (USD 10.00) or copper plate stamping (USD 70.00).

* For the walnut series, the Arte di mano brand mark is stamped on the back,
so if you add the initial service, you can freely stamp your desired text on the front.
Personal initials can be stamped on all Arte di mano products.
1. For combination stampingthe letters are 7 mm high and are made with the following typeface, using only uppercase letters; numbers and spaces are available. It will be produced in this format.

2. For basic stamping / copper plate stampingyou may choose from the fonts below.
Please enter your request in the format below. Both Korean and English are available.

Example) Text : JnK-handworks / Font : inkburrow

* JnK-handworks uses free fonts that are available for commercial use, and most fonts can be previewed in advance through the site below.
Font preview site 'Noonnu' :https://noonnu.cc/
* There is no fixed character limit, but if the text becomes long, the letter size may become smaller and less legible. If the text is excessively long, it may be produced in two lines.
* Initials are produced within a maximum width of 3 cm, and the size is determined according to the font and text. We adjust the size based on experience, but font size includes a subjective element, so remaking, exchange, or refund due to this reason is not possible.
* Personal initials are produced using a zinc etched plate. It is an economical method, but because the etched plate is shallow, the stamped initials may appear shallow or part of the edge of the plate may be lightly marked. If you would like a cleaner and more legible initial stamp, similar to our brand logo stamping, please request copper plate production (USD 70.00).
* The initial fee is the cost of producing the stamping plate. For those who choose basic stamping or copper plate stamping,
if you have previously had initials made with us,
the same initials can be stamped at any time without additional cost.
* However, for combination initials, a new combination is required for each request, so the cost is charged each time.
* For brand logos, café logos, corporate event text, or other engravings using separate graphic files,
availability and cost may vary depending on the file format and desired size, so please contact us through the board or by email at info@artedimano.com.
* The stamping position and size are adjusted within 3 cm by the maker to the most natural proportion, depending on the length of the text, font, and condition of the product.

Rally
(Vegatable tanned, Italy - AUSONIA, Walpier)
Finish - Matt type, milling, parafiin / Softness - โ โ โโโ
Additional cost : None
This is an oil pull-up leather produced by Ausonia, one of Italy’s two major tanneries, and Badalassi carlo, a tannery that works only with traditional processes. With a rich oil content and a dyeing process that layers two colors in sequence, it shows a natural two-tone change at the bent areas. The natural grain created by milling, the vintage color tone, and the paraffin applied generously to the surface gradually spread into a softer sheen with use, making the leather even more attractive over time. Among soft-type leathers, it is one of the toughest. Its surface dyeing is highly distinctive, and we recommend it to those who enjoy leather products with a natural yet vintage character. Rally Volpe is also one of Arte di mano’s best-selling colors.
.

Minerva Box
(Vegatable tanned, Italy - BADALASSI CARLO)
Finish - Matt type, milling / Softness - โ โ โ โ โ
Additional cost : None
Minerva Box leather from BADALASSI CARLO is made from hides of cattle raised in the Alpine region. Minerva leather, hand-tanned and dyed using the vacchetta method, a tradition with more than ten centuries of history, is then milled in a drum to create its natural grain pattern. It is a full vegetable-tanned leather.
Unlike its initial matte feel, the natural sheen that gradually rises with use gives it enough depth to be treated as a premium leather. The unique soft touch created by the rich oil content of Minerva Box is also outstanding. It is the softest-feeling leather among the soft-type leathers.
.

Dollaro
(Vegatable tanned, Italy - Walpier)
Finish - Natural glossy type, Embossed(Shrunken pattern), Hand brushed two tone dye / Hardness - โ โ โ โ โ
Additional cost : None
This is a new article developed by Walpier, the prestigious Italian tannery well known for Buttero. Based on Buttero’s base processing and dyeing technique, the leather is embossed with a natural pattern and then hand-dyed one by one, creating a two-tone effect where the raised areas become darker. The result is a leather with natural gloss and a strong impression.
Vegetable-tanned leather generally develops visible signs of use naturally, but Dollaro has a much stronger surface than ordinary vegetable leather, making it highly resistant to scratches while still retaining the character of vegetable-tanned leather.
.

Buttero
(Vegatable tanned, Italy - Walpier)
Finish - Matt type, Oil, Hard type / Hardness - โ โ โ โ โ
Additional cost : None
Buttero is the representative article produced by Walpier, a third-generation family tannery known as one of Italy’s finest leather producers. Made with top-grade French hides and vegetable tanned, it has an exceptionally smooth surface and, thanks to its unusually rich oil content, offers a moist touch despite being vegetable leather. Its smooth surface does not feel artificial; it preserves the natural touch of leather, and Buttero’s distinctive color expression gives it a rich and deep tone that clearly sets it apart from other vegetable leathers. Like other oil-rich leathers, it is relatively vulnerable to scratches, but the accumulation of marks over time creates a natural patina that is more attractive than almost any other leather. It is especially loved in Japan.
.

Buttero box
(Vegatable tanned, Italy - Walpier)
Finish - Matt type, Oil, Milling / Softness - โ โ โ โโ
Additional cost : None
This leather is based on Buttero, the representative article produced by Walpier, a third-generation family tannery known for making some of Italy’s finest leathers. By milling the Buttero-based leather, it gains a natural grain pattern and softness on the surface. The original thickness of the leather, before thickness adjustment, is the same as Buttero at 2.8–3.0 mm, making it thicker than Minerva Box and stronger in tensile strength even at the same thickness. Compared with Minerva Box in the same color, the color feels slightly deeper and heavier. Especially when used for straps, the extra thickness gives the strap a more solid feel, so we recommend it for single-layer strap construction.
.

Labrador
(Vegatable tanned, Italy - Rocado s.r.l)
Finish - Natural glossy type, Hand brushed dye / Hardness - โ โ โ โโ
Additional cost : None
Labrador is a cowhide leather made by Rocado in Italy, a tannery known for Italian shell cordovan. Inspired by the feel of the coat of the large Labrador dog breed, it has a smooth and silky surface while carrying the deep color tone familiar from Italian shell cordovan. It is a surface-dyed type of leather.
.

Goat skin
(chrome tanned, France - Alran)
Finish - matt type / Thickness - 1.2 ~ 1.4 mm / softness - โ โ โโโ
Additional cost : None
Alran in France is a tannery that supplies leather to true luxury houses including Hermès, and it is renowned as one of the finest makers of goat leather. Goat leather is soft yet tough. Unlike vegetable leather, whose surface ages visibly with use, this leather is highly resistant to scratches, and finished products are slightly lighter. Since the original color also lasts for a long time, we recommend it for those who are more sensitive to the condition of the surface. It also offers vivid colors that are difficult to express in vegetable leather.
.

Pueblo
(Vegatable tanned, Italy - BADALASSI CARLO)
Finish - Matt type, Art finish by steel ball / Hardness - โ โ โ โโ
Additional cost : USD 10.00
Pueblo is an art-finish leather from BADALASSI CARLO, the tannery that also produces Minerva Box. Before the Box milling process, specially made steel balls are rolled over Minerva leather to create countless fine, intentional scratches that express detail. In the hide state it may even look like damaged leather, but when completed as a product, you can see a texture that goes beyond damage and becomes an artistic expression. Please be sure to refer to the finished examples. It is a popular leather with growing demand worldwide. We recommend it to those who enjoy a vintage feel.
.

Achab
(Vegatable tanned, Italy - BADALASSI CARLO)
Finish - Natural glossy, Art finish by hand blade / Softness - โ โ โ โโ
Additional cost : USD 10.00
Achab is an art-finish leather from BADALASSI CARLO, the tannery that also produces Minerva Box. It is made by taking milled Minerva Box leather and cutting irregular marks into it one by one with a hand blade. It is a unique leather produced purely through intuitive sensibility, and even within the tannery it is made only by a single master crafter, making it deeply lyrical. The finished result is highly dramatic; compared with Pueblo, another art-finish leather, it has a much more intense expression. You can enjoy a stylish texture created as an artistic attempt. Please be sure to refer to the finished examples. We recommend it to those who enjoy a bolder, more vintage character.
.

Camoflage
(Vegatable tanned, Italy - La Perla Azzurra)
Finish - Matt type, Milling / Hardness - โ โ โโโ
Additional cost : USD 10.00
Camouflage is made by applying a military pattern to high-quality vegetable-tanned leather. It is a consistently popular leather with a distinctive, enthusiast-oriented expression. You can enjoy both the military look and the natural texture and aging character of vegetable leather.
.

Swift
(Chrome tanned, France, Spain)
Finish - Matt type, natural grain / Softness - โ โ โ โ โ
Additional cost : USD 20.00
Swift leather is especially well known for being used in Leica’s limited ‘Hermès edition’ for skins, cases, straps, and similar items. Swift leather has a very soft touch and texture. Although the surface appears smooth without any visible pattern, it is actually composed of extremely fine natural grain patterns inherent to the leather.
Because it is produced by many different tanneries, we prepare only leathers selected for the best surface texture and softness.
.
Nappa
(Chrome tanned, Italy - mastrotto)
Finish - Matt type, natural grain / Softness - โ โ โ โ โ
Additional cost : USD 20.00
Nappa leather from Mastrotto, a major Italian tannery, is especially famous for furniture and automobile seats. It is widely used for luxury sofas and for seats in high-end car brands such as Lamborghini, Bentley, and Porsche. It has excellent color expression, characteristics similar to Swift as a leather, and a very soft, smooth touch.
.

Shrenken-calf
(Chrome tanned, Germany - LEDERFABRIK PERLINGER )
Finish - Matt type, natural shrunken emboss / Softness - โ โ โ โ โ
Additional cost : USD 20.00
Shrunken calf leather is made by chrome tanning calfskin from calves under six months old, then shrinking the surface through a shrunken process to create its distinctive grain. It is characterized by a soft yet highly elastic surface texture. Since it is chrome-tanned leather, it is difficult to enjoy aging in the same way as vegetable leather, but it has the advantages of being relatively light as a finished product, resistant to scratches, and able to retain its original color and texture for a longer time.
Shrunken calf from Perlinger in Germany is used in actual Hermès products and is more widely known under the name Togo.
.

Caviar
(Chrome tanned, France - HAAS)
Finish - Glossy type, Caviar embossed / Softness - โ โ โ โโ
Additional cost : USD 20.00
Caviar leather is very famous as a leather used by Chanel. This original leather is made by the French tannery HAAS and has an attractive sheen with a subtle pearlescent feel. Among the two pattern sizes generally imagined under the name caviar, this is the smaller pattern size, making it suitable for small goods and bags.
.

Chromexcel
(Combination tanned, USA - Horween)
Finish - Matt type, Pull-up / Hardness - โ โ โโโ
Additional cost : USD 30.00
Chromexcel is the representative cowhide leather from Horween in the United States, a tannery famous for cordovan. It is finished with the rough surface character typical of American leather and a natural two-tone pull-up finish that appears in the bent areas. Also famous as a shoe leather, it is worth experiencing if you enjoy the rugged feel of American leather or leather goods. You can experience an attractive leather product completed through the combination of rugged American leather and Arte di mano’s refined handcraftsmanship.
.

Novonappa
(Hybrid tanned, France - HAAS)
Finish - Matt type, Oil and waxy / Thickness - 2.0 ~ 2.2 mm / Softness - โ โ โ โ โ
Additional cost : USD 30.00
Novonappa, better known as Barenia, is a hybrid leather in which the surface of chrome-tanned leather is finished in a vegetable style. By area, it is lighter than vegetable leather like chrome leather, yet the surface texture feels almost like vegetable leather, allowing the surface to age naturally with use. The ample wax and oil content also give the surface a very soft and moist feel. This is a new kind of touch that can be found in hybrid leather, different from ordinary vegetable leather, and we believe it will be quite satisfying for items that are frequently touched by hand. Like bridle leather, if it is not used often, the wax inside the leather may rise to the surface and form a white powder-like film. When used again, the wax melts and penetrates back into the leather, naturally restoring its original surface texture.
It is an original leather from HAAS in France, a supplier to many luxury houses, and is used when producing items in tan or black with a vegetable-like feel for the French luxury brand H. You can search keywords such as ‘Barenia’ online to see a wider variety of finished examples.

.

English Bridle
(Vegetable tanned, England - SEDGWICK)
Finish - Bridle finish / Hardness - โ โ โ โ โ
Additional cost : USD 30.00
Bridle leather is a premium leather that achieves the highest firmness and strong tensile strength possible in cowhide, strong enough to be used for equestrian goods such as reins and saddles. It is completed through a hand process in which vegetable-tanned cowhide is infused and finished with tallow and oil for more than six weeks. In particular, the bridle leather used by Arte di mano is original English bridle leather produced by SEDGWICK in England, a company with more than 100 years of tradition. It is considered one of the finest bridle leathers, to the extent that it is used for bags for the British royal family. When not in use or at low temperatures, a white powder-like tallow appears on the surface, but with use, its distinctive smooth and luxurious sheen gradually emerges.
This cowhide was developed with horsehide cordovan in mind. Its surface is extremely firm, so it does not offer the same dense, chewy feel as cordovan, but the tallow deeply increases the density of the fiber structure, and its visible gloss and color are attractive enough to recall cordovan.
.

Lizard skin
(Real lizard skin, Indonesia)
Finish - Glossy type
Additional cost : USD 150.00
This is real lizard leather with a dedicated fan base. Its attractive gloss and finely detailed surface pattern are its strengths, and the high tensile strength of the surface makes it highly durable. Among exotic leathers, it is used often because it is relatively reasonable in price.
.

SHELL CORDOVAN TOSCANA
(Vegetable tanned, Italy - Shell cordovan)
Finish - Glazed, aniline dyed
Additional cost : USD 200.00
Cordovan is leather from the area around the horse’s hindquarters. A glossy layer located inside the leather is extracted and made into cordovan with an extremely dense fiber structure. Because this layer is called the shell, it is commonly referred to as cordovan or shell cordovan. The shell has a density comparable to the grain layer, or surface layer, of leather. While the grain layer of cowhide is generally around 0.2–0.5 mm thick, the shell layer in cordovan can be more than 1 mm thick, meaning that most of the produced thickness corresponds to the dense grain layer. This gives cordovan its exceptional structural firmness and strong surface recovery. Since only two small oval-shaped pieces of cordovan can be obtained from one horsehide, it carries a very rare value.
Italian shell cordovan uses top-grade hides from Germany and Poland and undergoes approximately six months of vegetable tanning made entirely with natural materials. It is completed through translucent aniline dyeing, glazing that creates surface gloss, and a precise finish made possible by accumulated Italian technique. Among cordovans, it offers one of the widest color lineups and the highest quality.
Italian shell cordovan, which has a strong enthusiast following mainly in shoes and small leather goods, is used not only by established makers but also by young and trendy brands such as Tanner Goods in the United States. Its excellent quality and reputation alone have already made it highly popular among makers around the world.
We offer the basic Classic type of cordovan as well as Metta Catharina, which is embossed with the legendary Russian calf pattern.
Cordovan requires ongoing care. With use, its gloss will naturally decrease. You may enjoy it in a natural state, or care for it regularly with the cordovan care cream we sell, or with a suitable cordovan-specific cream available on the market for small goods such as cordovan wallets. This will help restore the surface texture and gloss and allow you to use it in a clean condition.
* For ease of care, we recommend stitching in a color similar to the leather color for cordovan leather.
* Due to the nature of cordovan, tone differences may appear at joined areas, and in the case of two-tone leathers such as Marbled, the difference in tone may be more noticeable.
.

ROCADO SHELL CORDOVAN
(Vegetable tanned, Italy - ROCADO S.R.L)
Finish - Glazed, aniline dyed
Additional cost : USD 250.00
Rocado s.r.l, a tannery that produces Italian shell cordovan, is located in the Tuscany region of Italy and has specialized in horsehide for more than 30 years.
Unlike cowhide, horsehide is obtained only from horses that have died naturally, and Rocado sources only high-quality hides from Germany and Poland for tanning. It also insists on 100% handwork across all processes, including vegetable tanning, and uses an environmentally friendly method based on natural materials. Under the slogan ‘Open tannery,’ Rocado s.r.l is a rare tannery that combines nature-friendly traditional processes with a young mindset, always showing an active attitude toward new attempts and technical development.
It was once a partner of the cordovan brand ‘Shell Cordovan Toscana Italia,’ which was introduced domestically as ‘Italian Shell Cordovan.’ After the companies separated, the tannery began using its original name, ROCADO, at the forefront, introducing not only the richly glazed, high-quality cordovan we are familiar with but also experimental new articles.
Rocado has excellent technique in bringing out the natural gloss of cordovan through the glazing process and presents attractive cordovan leathers. Even among cordovans from around the world, it is a highly stable tannery offering one of the smoothest surface qualities and a natural yet consistent dyeing method.
* For ease of care, we recommend stitching in a color similar to the leather color for cordovan leather.
* Due to the nature of cordovan, tone differences may appear at joined areas, and in the case of two-tone leathers such as Marbled, the difference in tone may be more noticeable.
.

HORWEEN SHELL CORDOVAN
(Vegetable tanned, USA - Horween)
Finish - Glossy type, waxy
Additional cost : USD 300.00
This is shell cordovan from Horween, the representative American tannery founded in 1905. Like the Italian cordovan introduced above, it is an aniline-dyed and glazed type; please refer to the Italian cordovan description for the manufacturing process. It is the most widely known cordovan. While Italian cordovan puts more care into glazing to maintain a smoother surface, Horween cordovan has a relatively lighter glazing intensity, giving it a more natural, rugged gloss and surface texture. If you enjoy its long-standing reputation and the rough touch and character of American leather, this is a leather we can recommend.
* For ease of care, we recommend stitching in a color similar to the leather color for cordovan leather.
* Due to the nature of cordovan, tone differences may appear at joined areas, and in the case of two-tone leathers such as Marbled, the difference in tone may be more noticeable.
.

Ostrich leather
(Real ostrich, Africa)
Finish - Matt type
Additional cost : USD 400.00
Ostrich leather is an exotic leather used by most brands only for their highest-grade products, along with crocodile. The pores where feathers once grew, called quill marks, are its most distinctive feature. It would not be an exaggeration to say that the grade of ostrich leather is essentially determined by how even, beautiful, unscarred, and large these pores remain. In terms of raw hide price per animal, ostrich is by no means inferior to crocodile. Of course, ostrich hides are considerably larger than crocodile hides, but if you count only the areas with neatly arranged quill marks, the usable area is actually not very large.
In addition to the price burden, from the maker’s point of view it is far from an easy leather to work with. The first difficulty with ostrich leather is thickness adjustment. In ordinary small leather goods, the thickness of each part is adjusted in various ways according to need, but in ostrich leather, the thickness difference created by the quill marks makes this process quite challenging and requires considerable technical skill and experience.
However, the distinctive details and beautiful texture of the quill marks in a finished ostrich leather product are fully worth the effort and patience required to make it.
.

Crocodile
(Nile crocodile, Singapore - Henglong)
Finish - Matt type, Belly (back cut)
Additional cost : USD 600.00
Henglong in Singapore, in which LVMH, the parent company of Louis Vuitton, holds a stake, is a world-class crocodile leather tannery that produces high-quality crocodile leather. In addition to its unique texture and distinctive look, crocodile leather has excellent surface strength, making it far superior in durability compared with cowhide and many other leathers.
Nile crocodile is considered one of the highest-grade crocodile leathers, together with Porosus, the saltwater crocodile, and Alligator, which mainly inhabits the United States.
With glossy crocodile, if it is not cared for during use, the shine can fade. Matte crocodile, by contrast, develops a beautiful natural sheen with use and has the charm of aging over time. As with cowhide, matte leather receives less surface treatment than glossy leather, so hides with fewer flaws must be used, and within the same grade and size, matte crocodile is traded at a higher price than glossy crocodile.
When you experience Arte di mano’s work, made with the finest crocodile leather from Henglong and our refined handcraftsmanship recognized in the global market, we are confident that you will find no better material or quality beyond it.
Most Arte di mano products are basically made to order.
Production time may vary by product because items are made in order according to the order queue, product type, and production schedule, and it includes waiting time.
Please note that changes to specifications or refunds may be difficult once production has begun.
Please refer to the information below for the basic production time for each type of product.
Of course, we are always trying to reduce production time.
However, we do not sacrifice quality in order to shorten the period,
and in many cases, improved productivity leads to more orders, or the extra margin is used to add processes that improve product quality,
so it often does not lead to a substantial reduction in actual production time.
We will repay your long wait with unwavering, top-level quality.

Arte di mano
Handcrafted by JnK

Additional cost : USD 10.00

.
